Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 <br />February 1,2'• II <br />Dear Project Area Residents; <br />Notice of Hearing on Improvement <br />Notice is hereby given that the Orono City Council will meet in the Council Chambers, 2780 <br />Kelley Parkway, at 7:00 p.m. on Febniar}' 28,2000 to consider the installation of a pressure <br />sanitary sewer system in the Fox Ridge / South Brown Road Area pursuant to Minn. Stat. <br />429.011 to 429.111. The estimated cost of the improvement is $226,000 this results in an <br />estimated per unit assessment of $18,800 which includes a $4,500 grinder pump allowance. This <br />cost estimate is based on the nine properties in the Fox Ridge MUSA expansion area and three <br />additional properties, along South Brown Road, being added to the project. The assessment will <br />vary depending on the number of properties included in the project. Such persons as desire to be <br />heard with reference to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting. <br />Project Background Information and Purpose of the Public Hearing <br />The Fox Ridge Neighborhood was included in the recent Metropolitan Urban Service Area <br />(MUSA) expansions for sanitary sewer installation because of the smaller lot sizes, and <br />nonconforming septic systems with limited replacement sites available. This area is one of ten <br />neighborhoods included in the recent MUSA expansions.
