Box 66 <br />Orono, MN 55323 <br />Dear Mr. Gaffron, <br />., -. -I i,..., <br />I would like to confirm that I have signed a purchase agreement to acquire the property at <br />Lakeside Marina in Orono. <br />The closing date is set for March 15, 2000. <br />On April 30, Wayzata Marine will close its store on Highway 12 and will move that retail and <br />service facility to the Marina. The Chaparral Boats product line will be displayed in the new <br />showroom at the Marina. <br />. Wayzata Marine has a second store at Baker Road and the Crosstown Highway in the City <br />of Minnetonka. We will continue to offer Chris Craft Boats and Tiara Yachts at that showroom. <br />As a routine matter, the financing for this project calls for receipt of a letter from the City of <br />Orono uconfirming material compliance with the terms of any agreement with the city." The lender <br />also requires us to show that the property is properly zoned for its use as a marina and that Orono <br />is not located in a designated flood plain. <br />We fall under Section 10.41 of the city code defined as a «Marina Business." We are asking <br />for issuance of the license rt:quired in Subd. 3 of the municipal code. <br />The permitted uses listed in Subd. 5 that we are asking for are: <br />A.Rental of in water boat slips <br />B.Sales of boats, motors. trailers. and marine accessories <br />C.Repair and servicing of boats <br />D.On-land storage of boats, winter and summer <br />E.Marine fuel sales <br />UnderSubd.6 <br />8.Boat head pumpouU sa nitary boat waste dumping facility. <br />We are a well-established retail organization in the City of Wayzata. We have enjoyed an <br />excellent working relationship with the City since 1967. We are starting our fifth year at our <br />Minnetonka Marine location in Minnetonka.
