Staff <br />has extended the application deadline date to April 18.2000. <br />Application Summary <br />Hennepin County has filed a land use application for their County Highway Maintenance Facility <br />located in Navarre for variances to construct a building for storage of salt and sand. The proposed <br />building would be 70 feet X 112 feet in size and would be 42 feet in height. A Zoning Code <br />amendment in the LR-IC zoning district to permit County Highway Maintenance Facilities as a <br />conditional use is also proposed. The subject site has been in operation as primarily for County Road <br />winter maintenance since 1962. In 1962 the property was zoned for commercial uses. The property <br />was rezoned in 1975 for residential use. Since that time the facility has been allowed to continue as <br />a legal non-conforming use. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />To table zoning application #2555 for Hennepin County and continue the request to a future Council <br />meeting.
