•
SPECIFICATIONS
PROPOSED ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM
TRACT D R.L.S. 1275 PLOT 43152 PARCEL 4000
ORONO, MINNESOTA
SEPTIC TANK - Two 1000 -gallon capacity tanks, in series
manufactured and installed in compliance
with Village code. See Figure 2 for lo-
cation.
DOSING CHIMER - One 250 -gallon capacity tank downstream
from the second septic tank manufactured
and installed in compliance with Village
code for septic tanks, including a pump or sip.ion
with discharge rate between 25 and 45 gpm.
The purpose of the dosing chamber is to
deliver septic effluent to the drainfield
in periodic doses of 150 to 175 gallons
at rates between 25 and 45 gpm, rather
thc.n in smaller more frequent applica-
tions. See Figure 2 for location.
DRAINFIELD Proposed total drainfield area is 1463
square feet. Proposed drainfield trench
bottom width is four (4) feet requiring
366 lineal feet of drain tile.
Because of surface slopes a single drair.-
field system with drop boxes is proposed
where drain tiles are laid flat along the
contour in four runs of 92 feet (place a
drop box in the middle of each run).
Effluent is to carried by solid, six-inch
diameter, plastic pipe directly to Cie
first drop box thence to succeeding
lower drop boxes with all elbows and con-
necting pipes to consist of solid, six-
inch diameter plastic pipe. The end of
each run of perforated pipe is to be cap-
ped or plugged.
There shall be undisturbed earth between
trenches at least as high as the elevation
of the top of the rock in the uphill
trench of adjacent trenches. There shall
b,2 undisturbed earth under the supply line
between drop boxes at least as higr as the
middle of the trench pipe in the uphill
trench adjacent trenches.
