<br /> The Municipal Code of the City ot Orono is amended by udding Ordinance
<br /> No.23B to rcud as follows: �
<br /> SECTION i.Statemen�ot Pollcy.The Cily Councll finds thal lhc Cily Is
<br /> presently faced.with ihe potenlial development or redevelopmenl of the
<br /> several I.ake Minnelunka isiands,which polentlal has raked new concern for
<br /> � issues such as rlparian rights. surface water boat densily, nelghborhood
<br /> densily,pubiic and privale lake access,mt6acks and haMcover.Ot apeclal
<br /> wncern Is lhe provlslon of basic public scrvices to the islands such ns pol{ce,
<br /> L��E MINNETONKA SUN �ire and medical aid sanitalion,and acceFs safety at all tlmes of the Yenr.
<br /> The City's Comprehensive Plan was updeted in June, I980 and has been
<br /> approved by lhe Metropolitan Cauncfl,but zoning and subdlvisian regulaUone
<br /> h.�ve nol yet been amended ta retlecl lhe policies and provislons of lhe new
<br /> Plan.The City is in lhe midst otcomplete recodi(icaUon otall Cily ordinances,
<br /> mcluding complete rewriting ot all soning nnd subdfvision reRulations.The
<br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION Councilfindsanoverwhelmingprababilitythntlandusecontrolsandzoning
