VILLAGE OP ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning ComTiission, <br />November 17, 1969 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the followinir; members oresent: <br />Chairman Russell, Bartig, McCarthy. Also <br />Village Attorney Whitehead and Administrator <br />Martin. Absent: Dongoske, Nicholls, and <br />0’'l«lley. <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Discussion was held on Parcels 5610-5620, <br />Section 17, 1920 Fagerness Point Road. Mrs, <br />Ron Peterson is endeavoring to determine <br />whether the lot con be built on. Members <br />Russell and McCarthy had visited the lot <br />prior to the meeting. <br />McCarthy moved, Russell seconded, that <br />due to the fact the lot could not meet <br />the setback requirements nor would be of <br />adequate size when low land was taken <br />out, the lot could not be considered a <br />buildablc lot. Motion, Ayes (3) - <br />Nays (0). <br />BHILDABILITY OF LOT <br />1920 Fagerness Point Road <br />All three members had visited Lot 16, <br />Block 14, Minnetonka Bluffs, 574 Barrett <br />Avenue, owned by Belva Olsen, and were <br />in unanimous opinion the lot was not a <br />buildable lot. <br />BUILDABILITY OF LOT <br />574 Barrett Avenue <br />Members again reviewed Sigrid Johnson’s <br />application to place an accessory building <br />on his lot at 1790 Shadywood Road, before <br />the principal building. Russell read <br />the recommendation sent to the Council <br />previously, which pointed out that the <br />ordinance was common to many Villages and <br />had merits. It was recommended that the <br />use of a conditional-use permit be explored <br />for this case. <br />VAPIANCF: <br />1790 Shadywood Road <br />Members had all visited the site of tlie <br />pronosed addition to the Body Shop at <br />3220 Navarre Lane, and were unanimous <br />in their opinion that the lot was already <br />over crowded leaving no room for parking <br />and the addition could obstruct traffic <br />views at that comer. <br />Russell moved, Bartig seconded, that the <br />variance be disapproved.
