VILLAGE OF ORONO
ine?embJr”ir^l969^ Planning Conunission.
Planjiing Commission met on the above date
with the following members nresont: Chairman
Russell, nongoske, Nlcholls, and O’ lalley.
Absent: Bartig and McCarthy.
Members studied the proposal of Shaver fi
ilcCartiiy to move oil storage tanks, presently
placed on Navarre Lane to property adjacent
to the Hennepin County Maintenance garage.
After studying tJ»e apnlication, members
decided to table it for further study,
inco no provision is made for this usage.
Other zoning ordinances, that make provision
for it, will be checked.
Wallace Van Liere represented himself in
presenting his application to rezone from
B-1 to R-ID and divide into eight lots, a
four-acre parcel at 2665 Lydiard Avenue,
legally described as part of Lot 6, all of
Lot 7, Langdon Park, Plat 42420, Parcel 11S5.
^Discussion was held on the nerits of a
50' street and a 100* turn a round to service
the three lots in the subdivision. Since
it would be only a little over lOn* long
and would involve moving beautiful trees,
members agreed that it would be better to
keep a private street to these properties
rather than a "spec" street.
O'liallcy moved, Dongoske seconded, that the
'ivision be allowed as shown, with tic
exception of the street, and a public
hearing be Iield on the rezoning. Motion,
Ayes (4) - Nays (0).
H, F. Klosterman represented himself in an
application for a vacation of Spring Street
on Casco Point. Members studied the plat
map of the area and noted the area is low
and swampy; also, that the village has not
a deed to Casco Point Road as now used.
Dongoske moved, Nicholls seconded, that the
^vacating be allowed, but boundary lines for
Xasco Point Road, ns now used, should
be drawn and a proper deed for the pronerty
be obtained by the Village Attorney. Motion,
..yes (4) - Nays (0).
J
7:30 P.M.
OIL STOf'AGO TANKS
Shaver McCarthy
DIVISION Q REZONING
2665 Lydiard Avenue
STREET VACATION
Spring Street • Casco Point
NfiiMiK am
