VILLAGE r>F ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission, <br />June IS, 1970 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />Acting Chairman Wicholls, Horn, Elliott, <br />Gasch, Kullberg, Poisson, and Councilman <br />McCarthy. Absent: Chairman Russell, <br />Bartig, Dongoske, O'Malley, and Schoening. <br />A representative of th<* Jehovah Witnesses <br />church showed plats of the proposed division <br />of the property owned by Ella Gruppe, <br />.‘5675 Togo Road, part of Lot 7, Block 19, <br />Parcel 5600. This showed a division of <br />the two and one-half acre parcel into two <br />lots, one 100’ wide, and one 164' wide. <br />Tie church is also asking for a conritional <br />use permit to construct a Kingdo"> ".all on <br />the larger tract--contingent on division <br />approval. <br />Members asked the reason for the 12' <br />easement on the Gruppe lot and were informed <br />it was to service one residence in the rear. <br />Questions were also raised on the placement <br />|of the house in relation to the cascncut <br />'and side lot line. <br />Poisson moved, Gasch seconded, that tho <br />division and conditional use permit be <br />tabled for more study and asked that <br />the present residence be shown on the plat, <br />that elevations and placement of the proposed <br />church bo shown, what the seating wiU bo <br />in relationship to the parking area and <br />that a traffic study be made. Motion, <br />Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />Dennis Kilbane represented himself in his <br />application for a conditional use permit <br />to dredge and fill property owned by him on <br />Big Island. He stated that the property <br />he was going to fill was a dormant area and <br />contended that he would entice more wildlife <br />into tho area by filling it than leaving it <br />in its present state. Elliott questioned <br />whether winds would not wash out filled <br />area and Mr. Kilbane stated the area was <br />too slicltercU for this. Nicliolls stated <br />Mie iiad made a trip out to tJie island to <br />Pbxplicitly review the site, and was of the <br />opinion that the site had very little value <br />in its present state. <br />Kullberg moved, Dorn seconded, to allow <br />tlie permit.
