VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />RoRular Meeting of the Planning Commission. <br />March 16, 1970 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />Chairman Russell, Elliott, Gasch, Kullberg, <br />Nicholls, Poisson, and Schoening. Absent: <br />Bartig, Dongoske, Horn, and O'Malley. <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Arnold llegge represented himself in a <br />division of his property at 3465 Sixth <br />Avenue North, legally describe^ ns Parcel <br />4050, Section 29, consisting of 7.25 acres, <br />which he wishes to divide into tliroe lots <br />consisting of 2.3, 2.7, and 1.75 acres, <br />respectively. He submitted a plat showing <br />the division of the lots but no streets or <br />turnaround, ilembers noted that the <br />garage would be on one lot without a <br />principal building an^’ also tliat it could <br />be in the wav of the cul-de-sac, and there <br />was also doubt as to the setback of tiic <br />homes on this and the adjacent lot. Members <br />agreed that tno lot met the acreage and <br />frontage requirement, and that if the <br />street met all tlie zoning requirements <br />they would approve the division. <br />DIVISION DISC*"' <br />3465 Sixth A.^ .. <br />The application of George Butterfield for <br />property owned by liim at 3715-3747 Water- <br />town Road, legally described as Parcel <br />4500, Section 32. <br />Russell moved. Elliott seconded, that <br />since the lots did not meet applicable <br />zoning ordinances as to access, accessory <br />buildings wltiiout a principal building, <br />frontage requirements, the division siiould <br />be denied. Motion, Ayes (7) - Nays (0). <br />DIVISION <br />3745-37/17 Watertown u’ <br />Norman Larson's application for rezoning <br />his property at 3505 Wayzata Boulevard, <br />le,-ally described as Parcel 2300, Section <br />32, from R-IC to I-l. Poisson questioned <br />the rezoning of one property at a tine. <br />Kullberg opined that regardless, the <br />possibliity of rezoning this particular <br />property should be studied. Gasch voiced <br />concern over the residential property <br />adjacent to this property, how it would be <br />effected even if sennrated by railroad <br />tracks.
