In walking the site it became apparent that <br />discharging storm water to the east would or could impact the luw lying areas along the east side of the exisiiog building. <br />Further, the existing ditch along the east lot line did not appear to have en outlet. It appears that discharging water <br />easterly from the site could have adverse impacts to the subject property and to the site immediately to the east In our <br />coauneni letter dated September 27,2001 we asked for additional information as m where drainage from the site was <br />being directed and identify off site impacts. At the time of this writing we have not received the information requested. <br />1 was informed during our site visit on Monday that Hennepin County plans to construct a water quality pond on their <br />property immediately north and west of the subject propetty. 1 wu also informed that Hennepin County bad agreed to <br />allow drainage from the subject property to be discharged into their proposed pond. As wc looked at the proposed <br />Hennepin County ponding eree relative to the subject properly, it appeal that the existing topography would allow for <br />the construction of a s«mle or storm sewer to convey storm water from the subject properly to the proposed ponding areo. <br />In our opinion it mokes the most seme to route storm water to a defined ponding area. In this cose we recommend the <br />plans be revised to provide a swale or storm sewer to direct storm water norihcriy to the Hennepin County site.
