GlTYof ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 3 8 8 9 <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECITONS 10.24, SUBDIVISION 5 (B); <br />10.22, SUBDIVISION 2; AND 10.56, SUBDIVISION 16 (L) <br />FILE «2225 <br />\MIEREAS, John Theobald Cherclnaftcr "the applicant") is owner of the property <br />located at 4101 Highwood Road williin the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Lot 15, Highwood Lake Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter <br />property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for renewal of variances to <br />Miuiicipal Zoning Code Section 10.24, Subdivision 5 (B) to permit the construction of a new <br />residence to replace the c.xisting residence on the propert>% the new residence to be located 25* <br />from the front or street right-of-way line where a 30’ street or front setback is normally <br />required, and requesting a west side setback of 9.5* where a 10* setback is normally required, <br />and requesting an cast side setback of 6' where a 10* setback is normally required, and <br />requesting a lot area variance for construction of a new residence on a property of 8,550 s.f. <br />in area where lot area of 43,560 s.f. is normally required, and requesting a variance for the <br />existing lot width which is 50' at the shoreline and 46‘ at the 75* setback line where the lot <br />width is normally required to be 140’ at such locations; and requesting a variance to Sections <br />10.22, Subdivision 2 and 10.56, Subdivision 16 (L) to allow hardcover in the 75-250’ zone of <br />1,956 s.f. or 40% where only 1,220 s.f. or 25% hardcover is normally allowed. <br />NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Mirmesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1.This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2225.
