Subdivision 16 (CXI): Structural setbacks for Natural Environmental Lakes: To <br />pemiit an addition to the w est end of the residence and replacement of an existing deck. <br />Application Summary: 1 he applicants are seeking approval to construct a 13‘ x 36' (468 s.f.) <br />addition to the w est end of the residence and to replace an existing wood deck that is deteriorating. <br />Both the addition and dtnrk replacement arc w ithin 150* of a Natural Environment lake. <br />The lot was developed in 1985 prior to the adoption of the Shoreland Ordinance (1992). llie <br />Shorcland Ordinance created a 150* structure setback from Natural Environment lakes, whereas, 75' <br />was required before 1992. The ordinance was adopted with the understanding it would create non- <br />conforming lots in the French Creek Subdivision. The subject property owner’s house now <br />encroaches into the required 150* setback.
