n <br />MINUTES OF A JOINT MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 6, 1972 <br />Poisson moved, Searles seconded, that the <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of October 16, <br />1972, be approved, ilotion. Ayes (3) - <br />Nays (0). <br />Paul Fahlin represented Paul's Landing in an <br />application for a building permit to construct <br />a 24' X 24' addition for small motor repair <br />and storage. <br />theMr. Fahlin stated the addition, as well as <br />rest of the building, could be temporary. <br />Tentative plans called for a new complex <br />housed in one building if and when sewer <br />becomes available. He also is working on a <br />parking area across the street on property <br />owned by him. Searles asked why the building <br />could not be constructed there. Mr. Fahlin <br />said it would not be a good economic move to <br />move it that far from the rest of the buildings. <br />Kullberg moved that recommendation be made to <br />allow the building, conditioned on the <br />recommendations of the Lake ?!innetonka <br />Conservation District be followed, Searles <br />seconded, but moved to amend the motion to <br />grant approval by variance since the L.M.C.D. <br />Shoreland Guidelines Policy has been adopted <br />by reference by the Village, Hays seconded. <br />Motion, Ayes (8) - Nays (0). <br />A1 Michels represented William V/ear in an <br />application for a building permit to construct <br />a commercial building. The reports of the <br />Hydrologist, John Holmquist, and Tom Loucks, <br />the Planner, were read and studied. Discussion <br />ensued on the advisability of reducing traffic <br />speed to Willow Drive as advised by the Planner. <br />Searles moved, Ryerse seconded, that recommenda <br />tion be made to allow the permit if all the <br />conditions of the Planner and Hydrologist are <br />met.
