Van Nest brought out that <br />we already have a PUD concept in ffimicipal <br />Ordinances 38.600 through 38.680 covering <br />PRD and 38,700 through 38.770 covering PID, <br />o <br />Page 3 <br />PUD ORDINANCE <br />Councilman Massengale stated the Village <br />Council would like some input from the <br />Planning Commission regarding the LMCD <br />policy on Lakesiiore usage. <br />He informed members the contract with <br />Brauer 8 Associates for a comprehensive <br />plan and consultant services was approved <br />by tlie Council. <br />He brought the Planning Commission up to <br />date on what discussion has taken place <br />between the Village Council and IDS <br />relative to the Navarre project. Discussion <br />was held on the merits of strip vs. mall <br />shopping-center concepts. Herfurth was of <br />the opinion that the mall is a better <br />IDS NAVARRE PROJECT A <br />concept than a strip simply because it <br />facilitiLtates shopping. <br />proposed <br />being 97, <br />shoppi.tgWhen the site of the <br />center was stated as being 97,000 sq. ft., <br />members asked if anybody knew of a comparable, <br />Herfurth stated the Bay Shopping Center in <br />Wayzata contained 60,000 sq. ft.
