MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Monday, August 19,2002 <br />6:30 o'clock p.m. <br />ROLL <br />The Commission met on the above mentioned date with the following members present: Chair <br />Sandra Smith, Commissioners David Rahn, Cynthia Bremer, J. Mark Fritzler, Liz Hawn, and <br />Jeanne Mabusth. Representing staff were Planning Director Mike Gaffron, Zoning Administrator <br />Wendy Bottenberg, and Recorder Kristi Anderson. <br />Absent were Commissioner Janice Berg, Zoning Administrator Paul Weinberger, and Council <br />Representative Mayor Peterson. <br />Chair Smith called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />(#1) #02-2811 DANIEL AND RUTH PARTEN, 1015 TONK.AWA ROAD, VARIANCE <br />Mabusth moved, Hawn seconded, to recommend approval of Application #02-2811 Daniel <br />and Ruth Parten, 1015 Tonkawa Road, approving the average lakeshore setback variance <br />subject to the Findings and conditions set forth in the staff recommendation memo dated <br />August 5,2002, in order to make changes to the residence. VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />(#2) #02-2782 ORONO PROFESSIONAL PROPERTIES, 2765 KELLEY PARIOVAY. <br />REVIEW OF REVISED CONCEPT PLAN 6:35 - 7:20 p.m. <br />Dr. Karl Berg, Dr. Bill Kottemun, Dr. Eberts, and Bob Ritter, Applicants representing <br />Professional Properties of Orono, were present. <br />Gaffron explained that since receiving Concept Plan approval per City Council Resolution No. <br />4823 on June 10, 2002, the applicants have continued to revise the site plan, whereas a number <br />of the changes proposed do not change the use of the site they do significantly affect the parking <br />layout, access location, site circulation, building size and orientation, etc. which staff concluded <br />require a Revised Concept Plan review and approval. <br />PAGE I of28
