k <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Monday, July 15,2002 <br />6:30 o ’clock p.m. <br />(#02^03 JEFF MARTINEAU ON BEHALF OF CHERRY STUBBS, Continued) <br />GafiBron stated that, he believed, the code does not force or require in a front/back lot subdivision <br />that both acces^come off the outlot and the existing driveway does not need to come off the <br />front lot. Gaffron pqinted out that, if this is the case, the County may have an issue with having <br />two accesses. He sugg^ted contacting Hennepin County public works department and the City <br />Engineer. <br />Gronberg asked if the applicanTUould keep this option open. <br />Smith questioned whether the existingliriveway could stay there forever. <br />Berg stated that the County has the final say^ <br />Rahn asked if the two properties are sold to two ovmafs when the accessory structures will be <br />required to be removed. This would be an undue burdelK^n those owner. <br />Smith indicated the removals would be a condition of the subdivision. <br />Hawn moved, Smith seconded, to approve Application #02-2803^^f Martineau on behalf <br />of Cherry Stuhbs, 2920 Fox Street, granting the preliminary plat subject to the condition <br />that the City Engineer’s report be received by Council at the time it goe^o Council, and <br />outlot A be platted subject to the removal of all accessory structures otherlhan the existing <br />house, garage, and large shed at the time of subdivision. <br />Mabusth questioned the need to resolve with the County the issue over two accesses. <br />Smith added that an advisory to the Council be given that this is a Count)' decision that will <br />likely be resolved at the time of redevelopment of the property. <br />VOTE: Ayes 7, Nays 0 <br />(tn 1) ##02-2801 KATHV MELIN, 3309 CRYSTAL BAY ROAD, VARIANCES 8:20 p.m. - <br />8:43 p.m. <br />Kathy Melin and Robert Koelfgen, Applicant and Metro Handy Man, were present. <br />Weinberger stated that the applicant has requested variances to permit construction of a 12’ X <br />24’ three season porch on the lakeside of the existing residence.
