M. Architectural Standards. It is not the intent of the City to restrict design freedom <br />unduly when reviewing project architecture in connection with a site and building plan. <br />However, it is in the best interest of the City to promote high standards of architectural design <br />and compatibility with surrounding structures and neighborhoods. <br />i i <br />A. elevations of all sides of the building; <br />B. t>pe and color of exterior building materials; <br />C. a typical floor plan; <br />D. dimensions of all structures; <br />E. the location of trash and recycling containers and of heating, ventilation and air <br />conditioning equipment. <br />F. Unadorned prestressed concrete panels, concrete block and unfinished metal shall not be <br />permitted as exterior materials for residential principal and accessory buildings. This restriction <br />shall apply to all principal structures and to all accessoiy buildings. The city may, at its <br />discretion, allow architecturally enhanced block or concrete panels. <br />G. Accessory buildings shall be architecturally compatible with principal structures. <br />H. All rooftop or ground mounted mechanical equipment and exterior trash and recycling <br />storage areas shall be fully enclosed within a structure and screened so as to be not visible. <br />I Underground utilities shall be provided for all new and substantially renovated structures <br />(substantially renovated shall mean when the renovations exceed 30% of the pre-renovation <br />value of the structure). <br />___
