Applicants, were present <br />Dotienberg stated the original variance on this properts was granted in I‘*97. and has been renewed <br />every year since then The Applicants purchased the property and were granted a renewal of llie <br />variances to permit construction of a four-stall garage and additional living area to a one level residence <br />At the time the Apiilicant's builder applied for a building permit, it was discovered there was a conllict <br />with the amount of hardcov er in the 0-75' setback zone v ersus the amount approv ed 1 he submitted <br />plans showed a larger amount of hardcover than wliat had been approved <br />Ilie Applicants have indicated they have decided not to construct the addition on the cast side of the <br />residence and arc instead proposing slightly larger decks and changing one of the decks into a scieeii <br />porch Doth decks are located on the lakeside of the residence <br />holtenberg stated the City Council did review this item last week and voted .5 to 0 to bring the <br />application back to the Planning Commission for fuither review Hie Citv Council slated thev did not <br />have any coneerns with the changes but would like the Planning Commission to review the proposed <br />citanges and make the appropriate recommendation <br />Uottenberg slated the hardcover m the 0-75' setback zone was approved at 15 } percent, but the new <br />proposal will reduce the hardcover to 15 percent Ilie new proposal also reduced the structural <br />coverage by 148 square feel from what had previously been approved <br />Richard Stark stated he can add to StalTs report if the Planning C omimssion desires <br />Hawn stated the Planning Commission is familiar with this application <br />pa(;e 10
