Subd. 2. Home Occupation Reeulations. Tlic regulations recognize that many types <br />of home occupations cun be conducted with minimal or no effect on the surrounding <br />neighborhood. <br />A. The home occupation shall be clearly incidental and secondary to the <br />residential use of the premises, and shall result in no incompatibility with or <br />disturbance to the surrounding area. <br />B. 1-mployed Persons. No one other than the occupant(s) of the ilwelling; <br />one (1 ) employee; customers or clients; and deliver) or ser\ ice personnel shall be on <br />the property at any given time in relation to the home occupation. I’nder no <br />circumstances shall there be more than one (1 ) employee working on the premises <br />at one time. No employee or combination of employees shall work on the premises <br />for more than forty (40) hours in one week, fhe home occupation mas employ <br />additional non-resident employees only if their work activities are performed off the <br />premises. Personal \ chicles of employees working off the premises shall be parked <br />within a building or shall be fully screened from the street and from adjoining <br />properties. Domestic employees shall not be considered employees of the home <br />occupation. <br />C. Hxterior alterations or modifications that change the residential <br />character or appearance of the dwelling unit or accessory stnicture to that of a <br />commercial nature shall be prohibited. <br />D. Interior alterations or modifications that eliminate the kitchen, <br />habitable areas for sleeping, and bathrooms, shall be prohibited. <br />n. Hxcept iLs noted below , the home occupation shall be conducted w ithin <br />the enclosed area of the dwelling unit, w ith the exception of le.ssons or instruction for <br />outdoor activities such as equestrian training and riding, tennis and other court sports <br />and swimming. <br />F. Accessory Structures. In the RR-l.A and RR-IB. One Family Rural <br />Residential Districts, home occupations or storage associated with the home <br />occupation may be conducted within accessory stnictures subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. No home occupation conducted wholly or in part in an <br />accessor) structure shall produce noise, light and glare, odor, vibration or tralTic that <br />will in any way have an objectionable effect upon adjacent or nearby property. <br />The home occupation shall conform with all other applicable <br />/lining requirements. <br />Page 2 of 5
