NnNUTES OF TIIF <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETLNG <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19,2001 <br />6:30 o’clock p.m. <br />(Report of Planning Commission Representatives, Continued) <br />lake in the past. Gaffron stated the Council voted to limit access to the lake at tliis location to just <br />pedestrian access. <br />Stoddard .stated the Council did approve the application on Baldur Park subject to the Applicant <br />connecting to City sewer. <br />Gaffron stated the City has not yet received a sewer easement over the adjoining property. <br />Weinberger stated the adjoining property owner is proposing to construct two houses on his land and <br />would like to hook up to City sewer. Weinberger commented the Applicant is considering reducing his <br />proposal to one house. <br />Mabusth stated she attended the November 13, 2001 City Council meeting, noting that Western Steel <br />did submit a revised plan for their property. Mabusth stated they are proposing to install an outdoor <br />gas pump on their property w ith an overhead canopy. <br />Mabusth stated the Council also approved the fence ordinance, with the Council suggesting the <br />Planning Commission continue to look at fences located in street yards. <br />Hawn recommended this item be discussed in a joint work session with the Council. <br />Gaffron noted the Amoco Station would be changing to Conoco in the near future, w ith some signage <br />and lighting issues needing to be addressed. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Lindquist moved, Frit/ler .seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 8:47 p.m. <br />Tlicrc being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:47 p.m. <br />Elizabeth Hawn, Chair <br />PAGE 13
