MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19,2001 <br />6:30 o’clock p.ni. <br />ROLL <br />The Orono Planning Commission met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Chair Elizabeth Hawn, Commissioners Dale Lindquist, Daniel Kluth, Sandra Smith, and <br />Jeanne Mabusth, and William Stoddard. Alternates J. Marc I ritzier, and David Rahn were present. <br />Commissioners Janice Berg and Daniel Kluth were absent. The follow ing represented City Staff: <br />Planning Director Michael Gaffron, Zoning Administrator Paul Weinberger, and Recorder Jackie <br />Young. <br />Chair Hawn called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />(#01-2729) W. GREGORY COWARD, JR., 1950 HERITAGE DRI\T. VARIANC I S <br />(#01-2733) WILLIA.M B. AND !A NNE M. L. PETERSON, 420 ORCHARD PARK ROAD. <br />RENEWAL VARIANCES <br />Hawn inquired whether there were any members of the audience who would like to speak regarding <br />these applications. <br />There \sere no public comments regarding either application. <br />Hawn inquired whether the garage being constructed by the Cowards consists of more than just a <br />garage. <br />Robert Lund, Representing the Cowards, stated the structure is a three-stall garage, but the properts <br />owner decided to make the garage look like something other than a garage. <br />Lindquist moved. Smith seconded, to recommend approval of Application ^01-2729, <br />W. Gregory Coward, Jr., 1950 Heritage Drive, granting of a conditional use permit to permit two <br />accessory buildings to be located on the property as depicted on the site plan dated 11/9,01, <br />subject to the conditions outlined in the November 13, 2001 Planner's Report. <br />VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. (Stoddard was not present for this vote) <br />Hawn moved, Lindquist seconded, to recommend approval of #01-2733, William B. and Lynne <br />M. L.
