PLANNING SSION MINITTES OF FEBRUARY 18, 1975 <br />#Van Nest moved, Wtwlley seconded, reconmendation to <br />Council to confer with the Park Goonission for reconmenda- <br />tion on closing access points south of Paul's.Landing <br />south of Stubbs Bay Marina presently being used as public <br />launching stations. The inadequacy of these access lanes <br />result in a traffic and parking hazard and create an im <br />position on both nuurinas, and a possible Village liability <br />problem. Motion, Ayes (10), Nay (0). <br />Curtis moved, Hannah seconded, reconmendation to Council <br />to adopt provisions for licensing of building contractors <br />to provide some protection to the residents of the com- <br />Binity as to quality and corformity of construction and <br />procedures. Motion, Ayes (8), Nay (2), Kallestad, Pesek. <br />Village attorney is in the process of investigating the <br />history and reporting on present status of property. <br />Van Nest disqualified himself on decision because of <br />the conflict of interest. He did, however, interject <br />that as a neig^ibor he had no objection to the nronosa; <br />Oirtis moved, Kallestad seconded, recoamendation to <br />Council to deny request on the grounds that the 75* lake- <br />ashore setback requirement is a state and local regulation <br />%^and the maximum pemitted hardcover relations along <br />lakeshore was agreed iqKXi and adopted in our current <br />zoning code and action contrary to these ordinances <br />would only tend to set precedent for other requests <br />idiere land hardships are not involved.
