f.VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular 'fecting of the Planning Coomission, <br />'lay 21. 1973 <br />The Planning Coanission net on the above date <br />with the following nenbers present: Acting <br />Chairman Searles. Gasch. Kullberg, Guthrie. <br />Paurus. and Ryerse. Absent: Elliott, ilays. <br />Kokesa. Poisson, and Van Nest. <br />Guthrie moved. Ryerse seconded, that the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 16, <br />1973. be approved. Motion. Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />The Acting Chairman announced that this was the <br />time and place for a public hearing concerning <br />the vacation of Hill Street from Parcel 2100 <br />to Tonka Avenue. The Zoning Administrator <br />presented the Notice of Public Hearing, the <br />Affidavit of Publication and the Certificate <br />of Mailing to affected property owners. <br />The Ramstads request to vacate Hill Street <br />was initated because of a need for an additional <br />10* to build a garage. The Planning Commission <br />members were in aneement that Brook Street, <br />to the north of Hill Street, would more logically <br />provide access to the property west of Bayside <br />Addition to Lake Minnetonka. <br />Ryerse moved. Kullberg seconded, tliat Hill <br />Street, between Parcel 2100 and Tonka Avenue, <br />be vacated, with the Village retaining a 20* <br />utility easement down the center of the street. <br />Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />Gascn expressed a concern about the applicability <br />of the PRO ordinance to this particular <br />situation. Gasch also felt that other people <br />in similar situations had not been informed <br />of this alternative. <br />Paurus moved, Guthrie seconded, that the Conry <br />PRD application be approved with an easement <br />to the east as was desired by Orr-Schelen* <br />flayeron, as well as a utility easement to the <br />west. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). Gasch <br />abstained. <br />The Zoning Administrator reminded the Planning <br />Conunission that the area Mr. Sweetser wanted <br />to dredge was not shown on the U.S. geodetic map. <br />Kullberg questioned Mr. Sweetser about his <br />letter where he states the depth of the pond <br />will be S' plus.
