In this <br />case, the site evaluator has indicated that the upper 18" of soil are <br />quite impermeable and should be removed prior to filling with sand for <br />the mound. While this is not a normal procedure according to Orono's <br />Design Manual, it appears technically sound for this case. No water <br />table problem should be encountered based on the soil boring logs <br />presented. I recommend approval of proposed Lot 2 as a buildable <br />site, noting that house location must not encroach on the primary <br />and alternate drainfield sites.
