JOHNSTON. JR.. 925 WILLOW DRIVE <br />Dear Members: <br />I would like very much to bring the above to a workable conclusion as soon as possible <br />so that I am In a position to: I) offer our present home for sale an^’ 2) build a <br />neW( smaller home on part of our property. <br />I fully understand your Interest in seeing that my present plans and any future plans for <br />our property (and/or the llendel property to our West) comply as sensibly as possible with <br />Orono's building and subdivision requirements. <br />Over the past several months, we have had the necessary surveys, soil tests, perk tests, <br />etc., performed and everything is In order. I have talked with the Corwins and Bormans <br />(and they, in turn, with Mrs. Hendel) and they have agreed to abandon the present easement <br />to the Hendel property jn exchange for a new easement which uses our present road and <br />its extension to reach the property on wliich wo plan to build. <br />Here's what I hope yoii will approve right away: <br />1^ property may be subdivided iiilu lv<o or more lots subject to positive <br />septic, soil and perk tests and the two "hard acre" building restrictions. <br />2. The present road and its extension to the west edge of Johnston's property may be <br />used to serve the home(s) built on the Johnston property. <br />3, The present road and its extension to the Hendel property shall be within the <br />borderp of a 30 foot Out lot granted by Johnston. <br />h, A variance shall be granted Johnston near the wetlands north and west of Johnston's <br />bprn in order to be able to extend the present road to the west edge of Johnston s <br />property. <br />5, As long as three or fewer homes occupy the present Johnston property, a temporary <br />or permanent cuWde-sac need not be constructed. <br />Approval of'the above will enable us to go ahead with the plans we've been working on for <br />several months. <br />I
