Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, Mn. 55323 <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />Gentlemen. <br />I would like the city of Orono to consider ceding to me the property directly <br />adjacent to mine. This property is currently owned by the city of Orono. <br />The reasons for this request are twofold: <br />1) The property has become a real eyesore. Automobiles, motorcycles <br />and go carts are continually racing through this property. The <br />noise created by these vehicles is annoying to all nearby residents. <br />2) The city of Orono does not maintain the property. As a result, the <br />property is overgrown with weeds and debris. <br />The advantages to the city are many: <br />1) This property would be put back on the tax roles. <br />2)The appearance of this area would be vastly improved by the property <br />owner. <br />No further requests for lawn care, maintenance or police coverage <br />will be necessary. ( The police have indicated that the parks are <br />posted "off limits" for motorized vehicles.) <br />There are no plans for future use of this property; the city of Orono <br />and Hennepin County have both been contacted concerning any future <br />plans for use of this area. <br />I have spent a considerable amount of money remodeling and upgrading my <br />home and property at 1345 North Arm Drive. I feel that the present condition <br />and appearance of this property detracts from the appearance of my home and <br />nearby homes. <br />I thank you for your prompt consideration of this matter. <br />Sincerely, <br />' Fred S.
