•Ordinance No. <br />Page 10 <br />38.980 Non-Residential Fences and Walls (B & I Districts) <br />The use of fences and walls in non-residential districts shall be limited <br />to specific locations and specific purposes in keeping with the community's <br />sense of openness and natural esthetic. In addition, all retaining walls in excess of 2.5 feet <br />(30 inches) high shall require installation of guardrails for safety <br />purposes pursuant to the requirements of the State Building Code. <br />Required guardrails shall be included in the measurement of the maximum <br />permissible height. <br />38.983 Wall Materials Walls and fences over 50% opacity, <br />where permitted by this Section, shall be of the same material(s) as the <br />principal building except that decorative walls of wood or masonry not <br />matching the building design may be permitted by Conditional Use Permit <br />upon a finding by the Council that tI»o proposed wall is compatible or <br />complementary to the building design.
