Mabusth
DATE:
SUBJECT:
May 28, 1981
#620 •* Mark Morris, 2610 Maple Ridge Lane
Conditional Use Permit
Zoning District - LR-lB
Application - Conditional Use Permit - maintenance dredging -
most recent dredging permit issued in 1978
The appliceuit's lake access or channel to his dock has been
silting up since the most recent dredging of 1978. I note
the application states that the permit will allow the "completion
of dredging previously approved. . ." Applicant should explain
this since we are labeling the application maintenance dredging.
If we are dealing with an area not previously dredged then
we should be aware of that.
The previous file lacks any great detail as to the exact area
and location or the extensive network of channels included
in the 1978 permit. It would appear from the applicant's
current sketch that it is within a previously approved area.
The channel to be dredged is 10' wide and 40' long, the 1978
permit had a 50' wide and approximately 1000' of length along
lakeshore and an approach channel of 500' length. The depth
allowed was 5 Jj' - silt to be removed to the 924.5 elevation.
This application asks for a 6" depth. Staff would recommend
no greater depth than 1978 permit allowed.
L.M.C.D. refers to navigable waters at a depth of 4*.
m Ki j liiniii I
