cm OF ORONO, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR PLANNING COM^USSION MEETING HELD JUNE 6, 1977 <br />m \le Orono Planning Conmssion met on the above date \dth the <br />following members present: Chaiiman Gre^ Hannah, Menders <br />Gloria McDonald, Dick Hassel, John Guthrie, Paul Pesek, <br />George Hosfield and Diane Dunlap (arrived 7:35 p.m.). Also <br />present: Asst. Zoning Administrator A1 Olson. <br />Guthrie moved, Pesek seconded, that the minutes of the <br />Planning Conmission meeting of May 16, 1977, be approved. <br />Motion - Ayes (6), Nays (0). <br />ATTENDANCE - 7:30 P.M. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />MEETING OF MAY 16, 1977 <br />study <br />lems) <br />Chairman Hannah announced that this was the time and place <br />for a Public Hearing on the petition of Engner Johnson <br />for a subdivision of property located at 360 North Arm <br />Lane. The Asst. Zoning Administrator presented the Notice <br />of Public Hearing and the Affidavit of Publication. <br />Mr. Olson stated that the applicant is requesting approval <br />to subdivide a 6-acre parcel into two lots both of which <br />would meet the 2-acre minimum zoning requirement. This <br />6-acre parcel was a result of a subdivision approved in <br />1975 at which time the park dedication fee was waived. <br />This proposal should then be assessed a park dedication <br />fee for all three lots that have resulted from the two <br />ibdivisions. Mr. Olson presented a letter of approval <br />_jom four adjacent properly owners. Plamiing Conmission <br />should also consider dedication of additional width for <br />North Arm Lane. The original plat indicates it to be 33 <br />ft. wide. Our standards are for a 50-60 ft. width for a <br />public road. <br />Mr. Johnson was present. The Planning Conmission discussed <br />his proposal with him. ^!r. Johnson was concemed about <br />requiring a 50 ft. driveway and was informed that it was <br />the public road which should meet these standards. The <br />private drive width need only be 30 ft. or^wider if he so <br />desired. The Planning Conmission felt that this was ^ <br />opportunity for meeting the necessary road width require <br />ments. <br />Also present was Dchi Sjostrom representing Mr. White who <br />has property on the same channel running through this lot. <br />Mr. IVhite was concemed about the intent of the channel as <br />far as dredging and dockage of a boat on the addition <br />property was concemed.
