Some menbers felt that construction of a dock over <br />the swamp could create a precedence. <br />Mr. Brauer informed the Conmission that of the three <br />proposals submitted, this current plan would be the second <br />least damaging. It is his feeling that the original pro­ <br />posal involving the dredging would create less of an <br />impact. <br />‘a-:.' <br />Ihe Planning Conmission reminded the applicant of the <br />current moratorium on wetlands dredging in effect <br />until July of 1977. Applicant advised that proposed <br />dredging would not take place until FObruaiy of 1978. <br />However, the pilings for the proposed dock should be <br />driven while the marsh is still frozen. Ihey would <br />like to proceed as soon as possible. The Zoning <br />Adainistrator inquired if the required piling and <br />dredging would necessitate a variance from the <br />moratonuB.
