Motion - Ayes (8), Ntiys (0). Hannah moved. Van Nest seconded, that the minutes of the October 4, 1976, meeting be approved with the following correction: Page 2, Michael Cloutier, Item (1) corrected to read as follows: 'That staff se^ a letter to the Hennepin Comty Park Reserve District requesting that they present a long range plan at their earliest convenience in regard to their expectations for the land they have purchased in Orono. Motion - Ayes (8), Nays (0). Menher Van Nest reported to the Planning Conmission on the status of the sewer plan. The plan is now finalized and ready to sidnnit to Council for their approval. The present sewered area is our uxban area. We have no plans to extend this service outside of this area for the next 25 years. Mr. Van Nest pointed out this area on a colored map he had prepared for the Coamission. There is no sewer interceptor capacity ;or the rural area. Our obligation is to see that cn-site ic systems woik in this non*sewered area. This plan will be referred to the Council for their approval. Council will then submit this plan to the Metropolitan Waste Control Conmission for their review before the scheduled Public Hearing on Novenber 10, 1976. A copy of this sewer plan has been sent to our legal staff for their review also. Hake moved, Pesek seconded, that the Comprehensive Sewer Plan be stbmitted to the Council for their approval. Motion • Ayes (8), Nays (0). The Planning Commission comnended Brad Van Nest and John Guthrie for the fine job they did in compiling this report. This rezoning came about as a result of a law suit concerning Mel Olson, Qark Oil, Hart Properties and Tonka Corporation, Etal. It had been stipulated as settlement to the suit that the 187* deep strip in front of the Hennepin County Garage and other scattered parcels be rezoned to B-5. This is a new comnercial zone vhich contains B*4 zone plus an addition for such things ^ d^ cleaning, rental, pet shops. A draft of this B-5 ^ing is being prepared for adoption into our code. At this time, it was also decided to consider any other >4Qezoning that miijit be necessary in the Navarre area. The >J.ty must coaq;>lete action on this rezoning within 60 days.
