Motion - Ayes (8), <br />Ntiys (0). <br />Hannah moved. Van Nest seconded, that the minutes of the <br />October 4, 1976, meeting be approved with the following <br />correction: <br />Page 2, Michael Cloutier, Item (1) corrected to read as <br />follows: 'That staff se^ a letter to the Hennepin Comty <br />Park Reserve District requesting that they present a long <br />range plan at their earliest convenience in regard to their <br />expectations for the land they have purchased in Orono. <br />Motion - Ayes (8), Nays (0). <br />Menher Van Nest reported to the Planning Conmission on the <br />status of the sewer plan. The plan is now finalized and ready <br />to sidnnit to Council for their approval. The present sewered <br />area is our uxban area. We have no plans to extend this <br />service outside of this area for the next 25 years. Mr. Van <br />Nest pointed out this area on a colored map he had prepared <br />for the Coamission. There is no sewer interceptor capacity <br />;or the rural area. Our obligation is to see that cn-site <br />ic systems woik in this non*sewered area. This plan will <br />be referred to the Council for their approval. Council will <br />then submit this plan to the Metropolitan Waste Control <br />Conmission for their review before the scheduled Public <br />Hearing on Novenber 10, 1976. A copy of this sewer plan has <br />been sent to our legal staff for their review also. <br />Hake moved, Pesek seconded, that the Comprehensive Sewer Plan <br />be stbmitted to the Council for their approval. Motion • <br />Ayes (8), Nays (0). <br />The Planning Commission comnended Brad Van Nest and John Guthrie <br />for the fine job they did in compiling this report. <br />APPROVAL OF MlNinhS <br />»€ET1NG SEPDEMEER 20, 1976 <br />APPROVAL OF MINUIBS <br />MEETING OCTOBER 4, 1976 <br />OOMPREHB6IVB SE«ER FLAN <br />v‘x;. <br />This rezoning came about as a result of a law suit concerning <br />Mel Olson, Qark Oil, Hart Properties and Tonka Corporation, <br />Etal. It had been stipulated as settlement to the suit that <br />the 187* deep strip in front of the Hennepin County Garage <br />and other scattered parcels be rezoned to B-5. This is a new <br />comnercial zone vhich contains B*4 zone plus an addition for <br />such things ^ d^ cleaning, rental, pet shops. A draft of <br />this B-5 ^ing is being prepared for adoption into our code. <br />At this time, it was also decided to consider any other <br />>4Qezoning that miijit be necessary in the Navarre area. The <br />>J.ty must coaq;>lete action on this rezoning within 60 days. <br />A Pdblic Hearing will be held. <br />NAVARRE AREA REZ0N1N6
