Hake, C. Paul Pesek, <br />Gloria ficDonald, and Zoning AdministTator Bank Muhich. <br />Brad Van Nest arrived at 8:45 p.m. Absent: John Guthrie, <br />Gregg Hannah and Eugene tfoolley. <br />Chairwomm Dinlap called to order the Public Ifearing on the <br />petition of Boeye-Anderson for a subdivision-lot rearrange­ <br />ment of the property located at 500 N. Aim Drive. The Zoning <br />AdministTator presented the ifotice of I\iblic Hearing and tl^ <br />Affadavit of Publication. <br />Tom Williams, a neighbor, expressed his concern of possible <br />conflict in dock rights because of the configuration of the <br />shoreline. This is a very shallow area. Pesek moved. Hake <br />seconded, to accept this subdivision upon approval and agree­ <br />ment of tlie neighbors. Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />Chairwoman Dunlap called to order the regular meeting of <br />the Planning Commission at 7:45 p.m. <br />John Hake moved, Pesek seconded, that the minutes of the <br />Planning Connission meeting of Jine 8, 1976, be approved. <br />Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />Lee Grosser, Director, Hennepin Vo-Tedi rKrhools, explained <br />that tliey needed land for their operating program for grow­ <br />ing orchards and crops and sought a land use permit frm <br />the Council. He then introduced Peter Jacobs of National <br />Biocentric v4io discussed the area surrounding the proposed <br />campus idiich consists of 173 acres. The soil is mostly <br />clay - 160 ’ de^ bedrock. ^fr. Jacobs indicated that certain <br />points get a direct view into the canpus and suggested that <br />some type of buffer should be developed. There is a 751 <br />hard surface drainage to the north. Some measure should be <br />provided to retain water and release at a slower rate. The <br />wetland is natural for this. About 251 of hard cover drains <br />to the south. Soil seems to be suitable for building. <br />Jacobs then turned the presentation over the ^^r. John <br />Torseth of Armstrong, Torseth, Skold 6 Rydeen, the archi­ <br />tects for this project. He informed the Commission that the <br />west campus would have the same amount of area idren conpleted <br />as the other two campuses. The main approadi is frtm tlie <br />south. Highway 12 and County Road 6. The main entry would <br />be Old Crystal Bay ^ad and County Road 6 with the secondary <br />ialtventry at Homestead Trail. Specialty crx^s best suited to <br />this wet type soil would be grown.
