The water towers are <br />located to provide optimum coverage as they are located in the northerly and southerly portions of <br />the City, along the two major roadways in the City, adjacent to the two commercial areas in the City, <br />and in the two highest density residential areas in the City. <br />The City has not reviewed its telecommunications regulations in-depth since they were initially put <br />in place. To ensure the City's regulations continue to be adequate, it is recommended an interim <br />moratorium be put in place regarding telecommunications facilities and structures to enable a study <br />of regulations and options regarding telecommunications facilities and striictures. An ordinance <br />adopting an interim moratorium is attached. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion regarding the adoption of on ordinance adopting an interim moratorium related to the siting <br />of wireless telecommunication facilities and structures.
