As you can see, <br />the Department has exceeded its budget by S11.112.36. This is due primarily to higher <br />than normal equipment parts and repair expenses near year-end. Overall, expenditures <br />were tracking as expected through November but December repairs were extremely <br />costly. <br />The Fire Department will fund the S2,77I.S7 excess in awards and recognition expenses <br />from their special fire fund. The remaining overage of $8,340.79 in fire fighting <br />expenses will be split between the contract cities using the 2000 budget percentages. <br />An invoice for the budget average is enclosed.
