Motion, <br />Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />RECONSIDER MOTION <br />Minnetonka Art Center <br />(Continued) • <br />Mr. Alan Olson informed the City Council that since <br />the record rains that have fallen in our area, we <br />are experiencing sufficient damage to the lake <br />and shorelines that justifies immediate action by <br />City staff in approving Class B riprap. The <br />extreme high water is causing some of our <br />shoreline severe damage from wind and boat wakes. <br />EMERGENCY RIPRAPPING <br />Mayor Van Nest moved, Massengale seconded, to <br />waive Planning Commission approval of riprapping <br />for emergency shoreline protection maintenance <br />and to instruct City staff to issue permits on <br />that basis with Council approval at their next <br />regularly scheduled Council meeting, subject to <br />Minnehaha Creek Watershed Distirct and DNR <br />permits. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />#419 <br />Mayor Van Nest moved, Massengale seconded, to <br />instruct staff to prepare an eimendment to the <br />City ordinance allowing issuance of riprapping <br />permits for emergency shoreline protection <br />maintenance. Motion, Ayes (5) — Nays (0). <br />Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to <br />approve a conditional us® permit for riprappxng <br />for emergency shoreline protection maintenance . <br />subject to Minnehaha Creek Watershed District <br />and Department of Natural Resources permits <br />for Windward Marina, 1444 Shoreline Drive.
