The oriQinal dredging of the channel around the perimeter of Uest <br />Lafayette Bay uias done In the late 1930*s, and there apparently were <br />no permits Issued for dredging at that time, at least we are unable to <br />find ona on record at the Department of Natural Resources, Attached is <br />the text of a later permit for part of the dredging issued in May 1960 <br />to Arthur Rand, This is on microfilm at the department• and they have <br />no way to produce a copy.
