. Page :-4- <br />Light <br />Green <br />WCa <br />Dark <br />Blue <br />Le Sueur loam - 1 to 4 percent slope: <br />The map symbol for this soil is LtB and the map color is light green. This <br />soil is nearly level to gently sloping occupying areas on low knolls. There <br />^ watertable within 3 feet of the surface during wet periods of <br />the year. Drainage needs to be provided around basement rails. Since the <br />soil is nearly level there is usually little grading required. Soil stren <br />gth is adequate for residential development. Shrink-swell (volume change) <br />is low to moderate with clianges in moisture content. <br />Peaty muck; <br />The map symtol for this soil is Pa and the map color is dark blue. This <br />as an organic soil consisting of peaty muck deposits 3 1/2 to 10 feet or <br />more in thickness. Below the peaty muck usually lies a layer of lake sed <br />iments and below that the clayey or loany Grantsburg till. Water is at or <br />near the surface the entire year. The organic material has very low bearing values. ^ <br />IV.
