Tom Frahm stepped <br />down due to a possible conflict of Interest. Discus­ <br />sion Included the actual dimensions, elevations and <br />type of wood proposed to be used for the deck. Mayor <br />Van Nest stated that the recomnendatlon of the engineer <br />did not take Into consideration any filtration of <br />phosphorus. Wilson and Hannah both expressed concern <br />about setting a bad precedent. Mr. Farrell stated that <br />the plan for the deck had been submitted to both the <br />DNR and the MCWD, but they did not have any Interest <br />In the deck. <br />MICHAEL FARRELL <br />2815 Casco Point Rd. <br />VARIANCE <br />(#419) <br />Hamnerel moved to approve the variance request due to <br />hardship of terrain to build a deck 15' X 11', subject <br />to the following conditions: <br />1. <br />2. <br />a gravel base of at least 12" . <br />The deck be an open spaced wood deck with an <br />undetermined number of plantings on the deck <br />level for vlsiial screening and to contain the <br />soil and provide nutrient filtration. <br />Motion seconded by McDonald. Vote: Ayes (4), Nays (1) <br />Abstained (1). <br />C. Steven Wilson opposed on the basis that no physical <br />hardship was demonstrated and felt It would set a bad <br />precedent.
