r <br />! <br />MINUTES OF A PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 14, 1978 <br />Page 4 <br />Walter Wolfe Jr. and Mrs. Walter Wolfe Sr, were <br />present. No public comnents were heard. <br />Planning Conmlsslon discussed the proposal <br />and existing situation. It was noted that <br />there was quite a bit of equipment, machines, <br />auto parts, etc. as well as an old boat and <br />a vehicle with out-of-date license tabs on <br />the property. The Wolfes said these Items <br />would be stored In the new garage. Hurr <br />moved to approve the 84% variance for the <br />garage finding the hardship as the location <br />of the existing foundation and driveway <br />access, with the condition that the garage <br />be a single story, used only for residential <br />accessory use and that all debris, equipment, <br />etc. be stored Inside upon completion. <br />Motion seconded by Hassel. Vote: Ayes (4), <br />Nays (0). Motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Zltzloff and Mr. McCharles, building owner, <br />were present. Mr. Zltzloff explained the <br />operation of his business. Planning Commission <br />discussed major concerns with traffic and parking <br />and Indicated that some curb cut work will be <br />required as a condition of approval. Mr. Zltzloff <br />is to return with a site plan showing parking, <br />access. Intended landscaping plus a floor plan <br />showing the store itself regarding retail/wholesale <br />floor space divisions. <br />Dewey Lindsay (dredge operator) and Mr. Hannah <br />(property owner) were present. He said <br />the DNR has tenatlvely approved expansion of the <br />other permit to include this work and that the MCWD <br />will review the application on August 17, 1978. <br />They requested Immediate action because approval <br />would allow work to continue while the dredge is in <br />the vicinity while delay would make the project <br />unfeasible. Proposal is for esthetic Improvement <br />only and not for riparian access. Mr, Hannah Intends <br />to keep the bridge In place and to place an aerator <br />In the lagoon during the summer.
