r-
f V.i
■ING
REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DfC 9 2002
CIIYUFQRO mq
DATE: December 2,2002
ITEM NO:I
Department Approval:
Name LinVee
Title City Clerk
Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section:
City Administrator's
Report
Item Description: Proposed 2003 Meeting^hedule
Attachment: Proposed 2003 Orono Meeting Schedule
On the attached ^hedule, Council meetings are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
at 7:00 p.m. As in the past, only one Council meeting is scheduled in December. Note that in May
the Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday because of the Monday holiday.
Planning Commission is scheduled to meet the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. January and
Febru^ are the exceptions because of Monday holidays. In those months, the meetings will be on
the third Wednesday. In past years, there has not been a meeting of the Planning Commission
scheduled in December.
Park Commission meetings are scheduled for the first Monday of the month at 7:15 p.m. An
exceptions is the September 1 meeting which has been rescheduled for Tuesday because of the Labor
Day holiday. There is no December Park Commission meeting scheduled.
The City schedules eleven holidays throughout the year, which are indicated with an "X” on the
c^endar. Staff is recommending that this year’s floating holiday be used for the day after Christmas.
Since Christmas is on Thursday, it makes sense to use the floating holiday on Friday.
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED:
Motion to amend/approve/tabIc the 2003 Meeting Schedule.
