The parking lo*. was recently cnlx'^ged and surfaced with bitumifious paven’.ent. The wes* <br />edge ot the parking lot was paved to the lot line and the rtorthwfst comer of the lot was expanded <br />tc\v.ards an existing wetland. It .appears most of the parking lot drainage i.s directed northerly towards <br />the cxi.stini wetland, fl.e parking lot has no curb and gutter to contain drainage from the site. .Stonn <br />water ha.s eroded .several arca.s along the iioah edge of the parking lot washing gravel, sediments and <br />debris towaf.l.-; the wetland. \Vc have the following comment.> with regards to engineering matters: <br />• Silt fence should be installed immediately at the toe of the slope along the north edge of the <br />pat king lot. The area between liie p;irking lot and the toe of the slope .should be covered with <br />a minimum of 4-inchcs of topsoil and seeded or sodded to minimize further erosion <br />• The e.xi.uing wetland should be delineated and a copy of the delineation repon submitted 'o <br />the City for review. <br />• VS c recommend at least 5-feet of bituminous be removed along the west lot bne. This area <br />siiouid be vegciaied lo provide a ouffer to the ‘Vtjl. <br />• The cw ner should provide a plan for parking lot revisions that wili manage the storm w ater. <br />The plan should include concrete cuib and gutter, storm sewer and water quality provisions <br />for s»oim water discharges to the north. Water quality provisions might include sump catch <br />baM!i>. .sedimentation basins, or water gardens.
