MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, August 26.2002 <br />7:00 o’clock pm <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT <br />*(#16) Pay Request - Loog Lake Fire Station <br />Murphy moved, White secouded, to approve the request for payment in the amount of <br />$4,675J0 to Kirk Program Management, to be funded from the Joint Fire Station Fund. <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*(#17) Application and Certificate for Payment No. 4 - Long Lake Fire Station <br />Murphy moved. White seconded, to approve Application and Certificate for Payment No. 4 <br />from Rochon Corporation in the amount of $357,982.50, to be funded from the Joint Fire <br />Fund. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*(#18) Appointment of Building Inspector <br />Murphy moved. White seconded, to appoint Bruce Vang to the position of Building <br />Inspector at the Level 2, Step IV rate of $23.34 per hour, effective September 3,2002. <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*(19) NPDES Guide Plan Payment Authorization <br />Murphy moved. White seconded, to approve the payment of the invoice from the LMC for <br />the development of the NPDES guide plan, in the amount of $5,000.00, and to amend the <br />Stormwater Fund budget to refiect the expenditure. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />(#20) Authorization for Traffic Study <br />As discussed earlier, Sansevere reiterated his opinion that all intersections are impacted by the <br />Dahlstrom Development project, therefore, they should be responsible for paying for the traffic <br />study and not the City. <br />Murphy contended that 2/3 of what needs studying would need to be addressed whether the <br />development was going in or not. <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, authorizing BRA to move ahead with the sub area <br />transportation study, at a cost not to exceed $9400.00, and to amend the Public <br />Improvement Revolving Fund budget to refiect the expenditure. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PAGE 21 of 22
