September 10. 2002 <br />• illness or disability prevents your going to the polling place <br />• religious discipline or observance prohibits your attendance at the polling place <br />• you are an election judge in another precinct <br />Absentee ballots are available 30 days prior to the slate primary on September 10. 2002. You may pick up an <br />application for an absentee ballot in person or request the application by mail from the Election Division of your city <br />clerk (see list of cities above) or print an application by going to the State of Minnesota Elections web site at <br />www.sos.state.mn.us/election/absentee. You may also vote in person at the Hennepin County Government Center <br />during normal office hours, on the Saturday before the election from 10 AM to 3 PM. or on the Monday before the <br />election until 5 PM. <br />Apply early so you will have time to receive the ballot and mail it back before election day. Batots received after <br />election day will not be counted.
