May 21.2002 Dear Stephany, We apologize for the delay in getting you this information for the Special Events Permit we are going to submit for Dog Days. The enclosed information outlines the site plan for the portion of Navarre Dog Days. August 10.2001. Saturday that will include beverage sales and live entertainment We ‘estimate* the attendance for this event between 200-300 people (maximum) throughout the 4 hour period (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm). We based this estimate on similar Twin Cities events that draw this attendance. We are confident that we are being overly cautious in our estimate versus under estimating the attendance. Parking in the public lot will allow more than enough space as we are counting at least 93 spaces in the public lot and an additional 7 at the minimum in the private tots (including Daghmer's Unique Stuff. True Value. DVinci’s. behind Lakeshore Interiors’ building in the back, and on Shoreline Drive). The route for this event will be exits in and out of the parking lot off Lyric from 19 and off of Shoreline Drive by D'Vinci's. Through traffic will be blocked on Lyric at the SW side of the park at the commencement of the day and continue through 8:00 pm. We are also enclosing the necessary Certificate of General Liablity Insurance naming the city and its agents as additional insureds, for your review. We do not have a homeowners association to be concerned with. However. I am including a copy of the retail owners' approval that will be affected by using the proposed site for the live entertainment on August 10,2001. We have not had the opportunity to gather the necessary signatures from the Navarre neighbors that will be affected by this event We were unable to locate the onginal petition from our efforts last year. The current petition will be submitted at the time of formal application. This information, in addition, to the state book that Jim Anderst supplied you, should hold us in compliance with the necessary documents you need to provide a Letter of Approval for our Permit Application. We are certain you will have some questions. As you may recall, we are meeting again on Thursday at the Chamber Office at 8:30 am. This may be an opportunity to address the group again on any concerns you have or foresee. We thank you, again for your support of Navarre and the upcoming Dog Days.
