Annual Business Meeting. An annual business meetin2 convention of <br />th e Leogue shal l be h eld on th e dat es-and ot a ploo e fix ed by th e board of dir ectors. The <br />o fficial business meeting shall be held during the Annual Conferenceo onvention at such <br />time as the gboard of Ddirectors shall fix and announce in advance with the program. <br />The President shall appoint aA nominating committee and such other committees as the <br />gboard of Ddirectors may authorize by th e presid ent at or before the beginning of the <br />convention Annual Conference to make reports at the business meeting.to th e business <br />session. <br />Section 3. Special Business Meetings, ITie Board of Directors may schedule and <br />hold other member business meetings in conjunction with other statewide League <br />conferences upon at least GOI davs prior written notice to each member. <br />Section 4. Quorum and Voting Requirements. At any the business <br />meeting,session delegates from at least tiventv-20 mmembers municipalities shall be <br />considered a quorum. Each represented mentber municipality shall be entitled to one vote <br />(which shol l be th e major ity expression of d elegates from -that member municipolityV <br />Action on legislative matters and on amending the constitutionConstitution shall conform <br />to the voting requirements set forth in Articles VllL-fespectively: <br />Section 5. Other Meetings. The Board of Directors may hold other member <br />meetings for educational, leeislativer or other purposes, which mav be statewide or <br />regional, and mav be for special classes of officers or employees or for municipal officers <br />generally. <br />Section 6. Parliamentary' Rules. At anv business meeting the members conference <br />may adopt further rules governing its proceedings. Otherwise, parliamentary' procedure <br />shall be according to the latest revision of the Robert ’s Rules of Order. <br />ARTICLE VIII <br />Legislative Policy Development Process Pfoc edure <br />Section I. Board of Directors Roles. The Board of Directors shall establish <br />policies and priorities to guide the League’s legislative advocacy efforts. <br />Section 2. Policy Development Process. To assist in the development of legislative <br />policies and priorities, the Board of Directors shall establish a policy development <br />process designed to encourage and ma.\imize member input. The process mav include <br />but is not limited to strategies such as: <br />a) Creation of specific legislative policy committees or task forces. <br />i
