Box 292
Orono, MN 55356
Mr. Jim White
3516 Ivy Place
Wayzata,MN 55391
Dear Barb, Bob, Jim, Jay and Ron:
This letter is to confirm the information I provided to you at our meeting on March 25'*'.
I will be moving out of the City of Orono on April 26*** and therefore it is necessary that I tender
my resignation fiom the City Council as of that date.
I have greatly enjoyed the almost 15 years that I have been involved with the City
government, first on the Parks Commission and later on the City Council. Over the last several
years under Ron’s direction, we have greatly improved our staff and it is now an excellent
professional organization. Working with the Mayor and City Council members has also been a
great privilege for me and I conunend all of you for your dedication to Orono. I also greatly
appreciate the respect and cordiality that you have always shown to me and to each other.
Although I will be sorry to leave, I feel that the City’s business is in good hands.
When Gabriel ’s term as Mayor expired, he offered to help the City from time to time
with specific tasks. I would also be willing to do so. While I will not be an Orono resident, I
will be just down the road in Wayzata. My home and office phone numbers will be the same as
they are now.
I am enclosing my final check from the City of Orono which I wish to donate to the Park
Commission, if this is acceptable to the City Council.
May you all continue to guide Orono with dedication and judgment. I look forward to
seeing you all in the future.
Sincerely yo,
Rivard N. Flint
RNF:ers
Enclosure
OP:M3504vl
-■jr-. .««-i .
