<br />2. General Fund Expenditures
<br />The General Fund operating expenditures at year end are S4,532,279, compared to the budget
<br />of$4,305,080, v\hich is$227,199overb> iget,or 5.3%. Ifthe expenditures are adjusted for
<br />the land purchase of $ 160,96, the expenditures would be $4,371.318, which is $66,238 over
<br />budget, or 1.5%. The adopted budget of $4,290,440 was increased by Council approved
<br />amendments during 2001, totaling $14,640. There are several departments which require
<br />amendments to their expenditure budgets.
<br />The following is a listing of those departments which require budget amendments due to
<br />expenditures exceeding budgeted amounts, and those departments with expenditures
<br />significantly below budgeted amounts. (Please note that only the departments with
