White seconded to authorize the Orono Police Department to post a position for a <br />part-time, full-time licensed, peace officer. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*(#I7) APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT FOR YOUTH DI\TRSION SERVICES <br />Flint moved. White seconded, to accept Viking Council Juvenile Diversion program <br />beginning May 1,2002. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />•(#18) DRIVEWAY AT4051 HIGHWOOD ROAD-RESOLUTION NO. 4795 <br />Flint moved. White seconded, to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4795, a Resolution <br />Granting permission for a driveway on a platted alley in the Highwood Lake <br />Minnetonka Plat. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />•(#19) 2002 ENGINEERING IL\TES <br />Flint moved, White seconded, to approve the general engineering rates proposed by <br />Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates for 2002. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />•(#20) PAYMENT OF EXPENSES FOR DAKOTA RAIL CORRIDOR LOBBYIST <br />Flint moved. White seconded, to approve the payment of the invoice in the amount of <br />55,000 to Ray Bohn, Media and Governmental Affairs, and to amend the General Fund <br />budget to reflect the expenditure. V’OTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />(#20A) TEMPORARY BUILDING INSPECTOR <br />Moorse stated the City’s current building inspector is on leave of absence and Staff would like to hire a <br />temporary inspector. <br />Nygard moved, Peterson seconded, to approve the appointment of Jim Kangas to the position of <br />Building Inspector on a temporary basis, at an hourly rate of 525.00 per hour, with no benefits, <br />effective April 23,2002. <br />PAGE 11
