The candidates are Robert Albertson and Keith <br />Erickson. Both are able to attend the March 25 Council meeting to participate in the Council’s <br />interview process. The candidate applications, as well a.s some suggested interview questions, are <br />attached. <br />The LMCC is a board of representatives of the cities that are provided with cable communications <br />services through the cable conununications franchise agreement. The Commission is responsible <br />for overseeing the administration of the franchise agreement. The Commission is staffed by a full­ <br />time Cable Administrator. The Commission's responsibilities include ensuring the communications <br />provider meets the requirements of the franchise agreement, particularly in regards to the quality and <br />range of communications services provided. Also, as the types of communications services that can <br />be provided through the cable network expands, (i.e. internet service) The Commission has an <br />important role to play in ensuring the communications provider provides the most up-to-date <br />communications services and technology. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />There is no Council action requested at this time. The Council generally waits until the next Council <br />meeting to make an appointment decision. <br />li <br />•. <br />J
