ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25,2002 <br />ROLL ““ ’ ' » <br />Cl I V ur UHONu <br />The Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br />Barbara Peterson, Council Members Jay Nygard, Richard Flint, and Bob Sansevere. <br />Representing staff were City Administrator Ron Moorsc, Planning Director Mike GaBron, <br />City Attorney Tom Barrett, Zoning Administrator Paul Weinberger, Zoning Administrator <br />Wendy Bottenberg, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, Public Services Director Greg Gappa, and <br />Recorder Alissa WIntemheimer. <br />Council Member Jim While was absent. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. Approve/Amend <br />Items 14, 15, 16, 18, 19,20,21.23, and 25 were added to the Consent Agenda. Item 8 <br />was removed from the Consent Agenda. <br />Sansevere moved, and Flint seconded, to approve the consent agenda as amended. <br />\'ote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*2. Regular Council Meeting of February 11,2002 <br />Sansevere moved, and Flint seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Council <br />Meeting of February II, 2002. <br />V’ote: .Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS—PAULINE BOUCHARD, <br />REPRESENTATIVE <br />Bouchard mentioned the Park Commission’s support of the Mound skate park and noted <br />that a resolution of support was on the agenda. She stated they had heard of some boards <br />to surround a hockey rink that might be available cheap, and wondered if there was a <br />place available to store them in the off-season should they be able to obtain the boards. <br />Gappa stated the boards were in Fargo, so it would be difficult to get them back to Orono. <br />Bouchard stated that the Star Tribune had run an editorial regarding Miruietonka Beach <br />not allowing the public access to the Dakota Rail Corridor.
